Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 0.33 cup melted butter
  • 0.5 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1.5 cup all-purpose flour

Steps

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix mashed bananas with melted butter.
  3. Stir in sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla until combined.
  4. Sprinkle baking soda and salt over the mixture and stir.
  5. Add flour last and mix until just combined — don't overmix.
  6. Pour batter into a greased loaf pan.
  7. Bake 50–60 minutes until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  8. Let cool in the pan 10 minutes, then slice and serve.
